Music is an integral part of the worship experience at the Seventh-day Adventist Church of Winter Haven. This year's Winter Concert Series Schedule is posted in the red box to your right. We frequently have nationally known Christian recording artists performing for our community and congregation. Recently we were privileged to host The King's Heralds who are celebrating 80 Years of Christian Music, and although their concert ran competition with the "Super Bowl," an enthusiastic audience welcomed this great quartet whose very name is synonymous with Adventist music.
It has been a privilege to host other memorable concerts by: Dr. Calvin Taylor, Pam and Jimmy Rhodes, Pam and Jimmy Rhodes. Steve Martin, Grammy Award Winner and Great tenor Larry Ford,, Rudy Micelli, the golden voice of Joe Pearles, international violinist
Jaime Jorge, the dynamic voice of Charles Haugabrooks, and numerous touring gospel groups like Valor, Herman and Sonnie Harp, the Melody Makers, James Rainwater, Gale Jones Murphy, Ralph and Aubrey Henderson, "3-4-GOD" Gospel, pianist Kelly Mowrer, and

Strings of Joy
Worship service at Winter Haven Seventh-day Adventist Church begins with our "Strings of Joy"
song service. Each week church members and guests can bring their guitars, basses, mandolins, violins,
autoharps, etc. and play along with a new selection of our favorite hymnal, gospel, and youth praise songs.
Bring your favorite instrument and join us next week for a good old fashioned sing-along.
Winter Concert Series
The 2007-2008 Concert Series is Winter Haven's seventh annual event. September through April, eight to ten concerts are scheduled to perform as a community service event and a blessing to the church family. "This year looks to be another remarkable season, with great music and a great variety of performers," says Walter Maier, pastor. The church hosts the series to reach out to the community in friendship and the fellowship of great music.
Concert Performers, Past and Planned
Larry Ford is a Texas born Irish tenor and two-time Grammy Award Winner. Larry Ford creates a true feeling of of warmth and connection with the audience. His presentations bring young and old alike together in delightful concerts. He is a regular on our concert schedule. (See web pages featuring Ford on the "right side bar.")
Joe Pearles gives special meaning to the statement, “What you see is what you get.” Pearles is exactly that kind of person. His soft and quiet demeanor and his deep mellow voice are a reflection of the heart and soul of this humble ambassador for God. His gentle voice, "as smooth as silk and sweet as honey," is a great blessing to all who attend his Saturday Night Concerts.(See web pages featuring Pearles on the "right side bar.")
Charles Haugabrooks began singing when he was three years old. His life-time mission for God has allowed him to present his music and praise ia ways to share what it means to have a deeper appreciation of the character of God. Haugabrooks has performed throughout the United States, Canada, Central American, Jamaica, Bahamas, Papua New Guinea, and Philippines. He has appeared regularly on 3 ABN Television, ATN, Hope, and national television networks. His enthusiasm in vocal presentation is a result of his desire to give of himself until the people see the matchless love of God in every song he presents.(See web pages featuring Haugabrooks on the "right side bar.")
